Hello Royal Oaks families! My name is Tom Mayer, and I am leaving the math classroom at Duarte High, and returning to Royal Oaks as assistant principal! I am so excited to work with students, families, staff, and the community to allow students to reach their highest potential. In my eighteen years in education, I have taught math and choir in grades six through twelve in Ohio, Florida, and in multiple California districts, including Duarte for the last six years. I look forward to integrate my experiences as a teacher, summer school principal last summer at Beardslee, and my school leadership roles to support and extend thinking for Royal Oaks students. I look forward to SOARing together and making this the best school year yet!
