Welcome!  I was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Burbank, Ca.  I received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Calstate Northridge and a Masters in Education along with a teaching credential from Pepperdine.  Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked 1:1 with special needs students in various settings.  This is my 20th year with Duarte Unified School District.  In addition to first grade, I have taught Kindergarten, Second grade, and Fifth grade.  I enjoy spending time with my husband, teenage son and daughter, and 2 dogs.  Most weekends, you will find me on a pool deck watching my children play water polo!
