TEACHER, K-6 TRICIA SHEHEE » Mrs. Shehee

Mrs. Shehee

There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.” — Jiddu Krishnamurti

Mrs. Tricia Shehee was raised in Burbank, California where she lived with her parents and older brother for 27 years until getting married and moving to the Inland Empire.  Her career path originally began in the medical field.  She attended San Diego State University in the nursing program.  After a year of working in various hospitals as a CNA, she decided to make a career change.

Her career in education started with the L.A. Unified School District as a 1:1 aide and Teacher's Aide.  From there, she realized her true calling was in education.  She has worked with children in various capacities such as in schools, group homes, and as a developmental interventionist servicing children with autism and speech or language delays.

She attended California State University Northridge earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. From there, she enrolled at Pepperdine University where she completed her Teaching Credential along with a Master of Education degree.  This will be her 19th year working for the Duarte Unified School District where she has taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Fifth Grade.

Most of her weekends are spent on the pool deck watching her children play water polo. Her 15 yr old son Ben, plays on the Varsity Water Polo team at Damien High School who won the CIF Div 3 championship last year.  Her 14 yr old daughter Katie, just began her Freshman year at St. Lucy's Priory and will also play on the Varsity Water Polo team.
