Welcome!  I was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Burbank, Ca.  I received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Cal State Northridge and a Masters in Education along with a teaching credential from Pepperdine.  Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked 1:1 with special needs students in various settings.  This is my 21st year with Duarte Unified School District.  In addition to my combo class, I have taught Kindergarten, First, Second, and Fifth grade.  I enjoy spending time with my husband, teenage son and daughter.  Most weekends you can find me on a pool deck watching my children play water polo!
